The skate-like feel of the popular Ply series comes from snappy Lock and Load camber paired with the cruisy flex of a Biax Glass lay-up and a lightweight Stratus Core.
Be good or be good at it, they say. On the ever-popular Ply, it doesn't matter which way you go. From the streets to the park, Lock & Load Camber makes it fun to do bad things while the lightweight Stratus Core and flexible Bi-ax Glass lay-up will forgive you if you get caught. This year’s Ply features graphic art from legendary artist, Sean Cliver. With Cliver’s storied history of unapologetic, unconventional artwork, the collaboration with DC was long overdue
Lock & Load Camber – The board has traditional camber throughout the midsection with longer, traditional contact points, creating a flat, stable platform. This skate-inspired profile allowed us to create an entirely new feeling of power and stability.
6 – (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
3 Degree Bevel – By shaving 3˚ of angle off the traditional 90˚ edge, advantage is gained both for beginners who get a forgiving, catch-free ride, and experts looking for a board that's jib-ready right out of the wrapper.
Radius 2 Flat – Flat surfaces at the nose and tail provide essential lift in deep powder while the radius blends perfectly into the sidecut, enabling effortless edge-to-edge transitions while turning.
Stratus Core – Using FSC certified wood, the Stratus core consists of smooth flexing poplar with two stringers of beech running down the middle for added strength.
Tear The Roof Off – DC's proprietary technology for reducing overall board weight. By removing the traditional top sheet, this technology delivers lively flex and increased pop while shaving off approximately 150 grams per board
